Lukas Pocius

Assistant to Head of Departament, PhD student

Born in 1996.In 2015, enrolled at the Faculty of History of Vilnius University. From 2021 he is studying in the joint PhD programme in History and Archaeology at Vilnius University and the Lithuanian Historical Institute. The topic of the dissertation is "The Emperor's "Viceroy": the Institute of the Governor General of Vilnius in the Interrebellion times(1831-1863)". Supervisor - Dr. V. Pugačiauskas (LII). Since 2020 he has been working as a assistant head of departament in the Department of 19th Century History at the Lithuanian Institute of History.

  • Russian imperial policy in the 19th century
  • Political police of the Russian Empire in the 19th-20th centuries.
