Biographical data:

Graduated from Vilnius Secondary School No. 22 in 1989. She completed a bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of History of Vilnius University in 1994 and a master’s degree in 1996. In 2004, at the same faculty, she defended her doctoral dissertation, “Cultural Dynamics in the Sėla Region (1st–13th c. AD).” She worked at the Archaeology Department of the Lithuanian Institute of History since 1994 (1994–1997 laboratory assistant; 1997–2006 junior researcher ; from 2007 researcher). Since 2007, she has been a member of the editorial board of the journal “Lietuvos archeologija” and editor of volume 32; in 2008–2010, editor-in-chief and compiler of volumes 33–36. Since 1995, she has conducted archaeological investigations at: the Galiniai (Užpaliai) barrow cemetery (Utena District); the Vaineikiai barrow cemetery (Rokiškis District); settlement sites at the foot of the Juodonys and Petrešiūnai hillforts (Rokiškis District); the Jakšiškis barrow cemetery (Anykščiai District); the Turdvaris, Indriūnai, and Kaniūkai cemeteries and barrow cemeteries (Rokiškis and Utena Districts); as well as in the old towns of Vilnius, Ukmergė, Utena, and Biržai.
