From 2002 to 2006, she studied cultural history and anthropology at the Faculty of History of Vilnius University and obtained a bachelor's degree in history. She has been working at the Lithuanian Institute of History since 2006. From 2006 to 2008, she studied history at the Faculty of History of Vilnius University and obtained a master's degree in history. In 2008, she enrolled in doctoral studies in history at Vilnius University. In 2013, she defended her doctoral dissertation, "Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės kilmingųjų genealoginė savimonė ir jos atspindžiai heraldikoje XVI–XVIII a.“ (The Genealogical Self-Awareness of the Nobility of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Its Reflections in Heraldry in the 16th–18th Centuries). From 2014 to 2020, she was a lecturer at Vilnius University. Since 2015, she has been the chair of the Lithuanian Heraldry Commission. She has been an associate member of the International Heraldry Academy (L'Académie Internationale d'Héraldique) since 2016, a full member (academician) since 2021, and a member of the academy's council since 2023. Honorary member of the Macedonian Heraldry Society since 2018. Member of The Heraldry Society since 2023.

Research interests and specialisations: heraldry, sphragistics, and genealogy of the nobility; comparative studies in the genealogical self-awareness of the nobility of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and other European countries in the sixteenth-eighteenth centuries and its changes; heraldry, sphragistics, and vexillology of the state, municipalities, and institutions of Lithuania.
