Since 2019 Karolis Čižauskas is a Phd candidate in a joint doctoral studies programme of History and Archeology (H 005) in Vilnius University and Institute of the History of Lithuania. There he is working on a thesis “Kilmingumo ir valdžios raiška XV a. pab. – XVI a. Lietuvos Didžiojoje Kunigaikštystėje: diskursas ir socialiniai pokyčiai” (Forms of Nobility and Lordship in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during the end of the 15th – 16th Century: Discourse and Social Changes) under the supervision of prof. dr. Rimvydas Petrauskas. Since 2022 He is a junior assistant teaching at the Faculty of History in Vilnius University, while also an archaeography specialist in the Institute of the History of Lithuania since 2023, where he is working on Lithuanian Metrica.
