The scientific journal "Lietuvos archeologija“ ("Lithuanian Archaeology“), published by the Lithuanian Institute of History, has been accepted into the Scopus citation database.

Scopus is a large database of peer-reviewed scientific literature abstracts and citations, owned by the publisher Elsevier. It covers various scientific fields, including natural sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, and humanities. The Scopus database is widely used for scientific research, bibliometric analysis, and institutional rankings.

Inclusion in this database means that the journal "Lietuvos archeologija" meets strict quality and impact criteria, allowing the scientific research published in the journal to reach a wider global audience. From now on, researchers and institutions around the world will have better access to the research published in the journal, which will promote international cooperation and enhance the journal's academic reputation.

"Lietuvos archeologija" is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original scientific articles on various archaeological topics covering Lithuania and the Baltic region, as well as the wider area of Europe that is connected to it. We welcome and publish works devoted to the analysis of archaeological material, the latest results of archaeological excavations, and discussions on theoretical and methodological issues in archaeological research. These cover a broad chronological period, beginning with the Stone Age and ending with modern times.

The scientific journal also publishes reviews of archaeological books and articles; overviews of scientific events (conferences, seminars, symposiums); discussions; and a chronicle of scientific life. Texts are presented in Lithuanian and English. The journal has been published since 1979 by the Lithuanian Institute of History.
