Dr Nicola Belli from the University of Eastern Piedmont, Italy, who is currently visiting the Lithuanian Institute of History will deliver a paper "Environmental protection and the pursuit of transparency: A History of Lithuanian ecologism during Perestroika" on 24 January at 14:00 in room 320 at the Lithuanian Institute of History (Tilto str. 17).

Dr. Nicola Belli graduated with a Master's degree from the University of Bologna, where he became interested in the urbanism of the Baltic States during the Soviet occupation. He did his PhD at Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania). In 2022 he defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Post-war mass housing in Europe: anatomy of decline?"

The paper will be delivered in English. by Dr Andrea Griffante (Lithuanian Institute of History) will act as modertor.
